Welcome to Westwood. Welcome, too, to our retro style website. "What is that?" you may ask. Answers to this qustion can be found on our About Us page, but first, here is some vital information about our location and what we have to offer.
Westwood is situated on the edge of the Lake District National Park. It is only 3 miles from the delightful Gem Town of Cockermouth in the Western Lake District, 5 miles from the Solway Coast and 16 miles from Keswick.

Overlooking a romantic three-arched bridge across the river Derwent in the valley, we feel very blessed with our beautiful view across to the lovely old church of St. Bridget's and the Lake District mountains and fells. The view is ever-changing and fascinating in all weathers. There is also a lovely walk along a footpath by the river into Cockermouth.

Set in its own grounds and very peaceful, Westwood also offers off-road, visitor-specified parking for your car. Everything in Westwood is on one level, apart from four steps into the porch and two steps from the porch into the hallway. All rooms in our B&B are non-smoking.

We serve a freshly-made full English Breakfast and offer a Continental  Breakfast Buffet too, so our guests can "mix and match". By the way, the capital letters used here are to underline how important it is to us to provide our guests with a feast for the eyes as well as the stomach. Using local, handmade and organic products for our guests wherever we can, we take pleasure in serving you a delicious and generous breakfast,
